Adjusting Well to Being Home

Almost 24 hours at home and Avery is doing GREAT!

She slept all night in her crib and woke up happy.

Her and Big Sis have been getting along well and seemed to have picked up right where they left off.

In fact, when Avery was napping, Big Sis stood at the door knocking and waiting because she wanted to play some more.

It’s been really good for both of them… and Mom and Dad.

a little apprehensive about car rides again

The 15 minute car ride home from the hospital yesterday was a bit unsettling for Avery though. She hasn’t been in a car since the first of April, so she was a bit apprehensive.

But, she did better on a shorter ride today to grab some lunch. It helps that Big Sis is across the seat so they can see and talk to each other.

So far, Avery seems to be settling back into home life perfectly.

Napping and eating well.

Playing with her sister and loving being free from any lines.

It’s quite an adjustment for everyone, but one we’ve been waiting for over the last 12 weeks.
