“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”
— Maya Angelou
We can’t say she was a happy butterfly, but she’s still a cute one.
She actually wanted to be more of the caterpillar, so the wings didn’t last too long.
But, she did sit up and play with her xylophone for a while.
Although she really doesn’t want to be touched or messed with.
She did get platelets and blood today.
They also decided to drain her stent every 6 hours now and upped the amount to 75mL from 50.
This is in hopes that it helps her get the fluids out faster.
We’re basically in a holding pattern as we wait and see how the VOD medicines help with the fluid retention.
Good news!
Her face is continuing to heal.
She seems to be a bit more comfortable.
Her nurse said she’s looking better than she has in 2 days!
Her respiration and O2 is improving.
Oh, and we moved rooms today. We’ll move every 2 weeks or so in order to keep the rooms deep cleaned and sanitized.
Not to mention, sometimes a new view can help bring new perspectives.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
