All about the pivot
Mom & Dad arrived at the hospital early this morning with sweet Avery.
Not only did she make counts (qualifying her to start round 3), but she’s also getting her Bone Marrow Biopsy and Lumbar Puncture today.
You may recall that last week after clinic day that she was going to have the biopsy and LP NEXT WEEK. We got a call on Thursday moving her next round up a week.
We had family photos and Easter all planned, so this threw all plans out the window. If we’ve learned anything over the past year, it’s how to pivot.
We found a local AirBNB with a great yard for an egg hunt to stay at for a couple of nights.
Came home yesterday and met with our amazing photographer who was able to move our appointment up to get us in before Avery’s appointment today.
We got in as much family fun time as we could before Avi’s admission today.
She’ll be in the hospital for a few days as they start the new meds. Her earliest possible discharge will be Friday.
Please continue to pray for no infections and clear test results!!
I’ll share again as we get more information later today.
