BMT DAY +118

“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.”

— Mandy Hale

First, Avery is doing much better than yesterday.

She did get sick this morning upon waking, but slept better last night and had an overall good day.

She’s been playing, giving us a few smiles, and simply content.

We’re hoping it gets a little easier with each drop the wean.

BMT DAY +122 | National Donor Day

Next, did you know that in addition to Valentine’s Day, it’s also National Donor Day?!

We can’t think of a better person to send so much love and light today than Avery’s donor.

We are incredibly grateful for his selfless act of donating, so that Avery could have a second chance at a cancer-free life.

All because he chose to register with Be The Match and said, “Yes,” when the call came in.

We’ve been asked a few times what the process involves.

Y’all, it’s so easy and literally takes you 3 minutes!

First, join the registry by clicking this link — or simply text everavery to 61474

You’ll receive a FREE kit in the mail. Swab your cheek. Send it back in a pre-addressed, postage-paid envelope. DONE!

Too young or old to register? Donate blood!

Blood cancer patients like Avery get multiple blood and platelet transfusions throughout the course of their treatment.

To Avery’s donor, other marrow/stem cell donors, those of you who donate blood products, and to families of loved ones who have made the sacrificial gift of organ donation, THANK YOU.

Today and always. It’s an incredible donation for which we can never repay, we’ll never forget, and we’ll forever be grateful for.
