“Here’s to strong women: May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.”

Sometimes we’re not sure who is raising who.
Avery has taught us so much over the past year because SHE is
resilient
courageous
valiant
beautiful
strong
passionate
determined
fierce
brAVE
She is a mighty warrior.💛
As for how she’s doing today, again, our Stories are where we share all the breaking news.
TL;DR version: We’ve reached an agreement with Dad’s old job over COBRA.
They will cover their part of the insurance for 6 months.
The monies donated yesterday should cover our full 6 month premium.
This gives us insurance through the end of August. It will give us time to find Dad a job + wait out any probationary period.
None of this was communicated before. The hospital showed no insurance while canceling all 3 appointments.
Avery isn’t feeling 100%, but her vomiting has slowed.
But, we were forced to wean her Methadone since we were rationing the doses already and running out quickly.
Therefore, she’s a bit sad today with the withdrawals.
But we should be all good for clinic tomorrow!
A little grateful for her not feeling well yesterday because we would have missed the deadline completely.
THANK YOU all for the advice, prayers, support, and donations. It was not a fun day, but it’s looking better.
