Avery has spent most of the day sleeping due to the Precedex.
The current plan has her resting as much as possible so her little body can heal.
She still has the CPAP mask, but her settings have improved.
Her O2 volume is down to 25% (from 60) and her PEEP is 7 (goal is 5).
The bacteria growth in her lumens (Central Line) has continued to show less growth and are both now negative.
They believe the infection/aggravation in her GI tract is improving based on her hemoglobin numbers.
But they’ll continue watching it over the next couple of days. It could also be a sign of GVHD (Graft vs Host Disease), so it’s still a concern.
Beyond that, she’s had a good day.
We’re hoping she continues to have good days and is able to move back to the BMT floor soon.
