Done with step one!
Fortunately, for our stress levels, the Doctors came in tonight with a few results we’ve been waiting on.
First, they gave Avery some blood to replace what they took today. Her numbers weren’t bad, but they wanted to make sure they didn’t fall too low for chemo this week.
Speaking of chemo, the biopsy results came back and still show 50% in the bone marrow.
This isn’t what we were hoping, but also isn’t our worst fear.
The cancer didn’t respond to the chemo as well as we would have liked, but it didn’t grow either. The doctors still say it’s manageable.
We don’t have an exact plan for chemo yet, but it looks like we may be on an “Avery” plan rather than a pre-written regimen.
The good news?!
NO COLLECTION NEEDED TOMORROW!
Avery pumped out the remaining 6 MILLION T-cells today so we’re done with collection.
Avery is a HULK warrior!!
So proud of her and ready to get started on the next phase while her T-cells go to “college” for reprogramming.
